Excel with MicroSoft Excel

Excel is a powerful spreadsheet program.

In this three hour workshop, you will collect some fun, yummy data and input it into a worksheet. With this data, you will create charts, graphs, and play with some of the functions and formulas. You will also learn about autofill and create a workbook. This workshop will be held in the Macintosh lab, but PC users are encouraged to attend. Excel is the same on both platforms. Bring a floppy disk if you want to save any of your work. MS Word I or equivalent experience (Entry Level 1) is required. By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • use the menu and formula bar.
  • enter and manipulate data.
  • format columns, rows and cells.
  • use some of the formulas and functions.
  • make and modify charts.
  • calculate and create a workbook.
