Microsoft Word is an amazing program with an
incredible amount of time-saving tools.
This three hour workshop will show you the power of why a
computer is not a typewriter and how to be in control of your
documents. You will learn why certain fonts and styles work better
than others, how to use some of the auto tools, and work with
columns, sections and tables. Bring a floppy disk if you want to
save any of your work. MS Word I or equivalent experience (Entry
Level 1) is required. By the end of the workshop, you will be able
to:
- fix some common word processing mistakes.
- use the appropriate font or style when creating
documents.
- use some of the neat auto tools.
- work with columns, sections and page breaks.
- insert and format a table.
- work with borders and shading.
- find the pre-installed templates and wizards.
- create a lesson plan template using tables.
