Understanding New Technology and Strategies

No matter how skilled we are with technology, there will always be new technologies or new versions to learn. The figure above illustrates that increased use of a technology over time increases understanding. This is true with all learning, but with technology, it continues to happen in a cycle. We are constantly learning new technologies, new versions of software, new platforms, etc. Each time we take on a new learning tool, we may feel as we did when we first started using any technology: a little nervous. We may ask "do we really need to learn this?" or "why do I need this?" If you decide that you do need to use it, you will probably cycle through the levels. The more experience you have with technology will increase the speed you cycle through these levels.
